RTTC - RISE for Rural Telementoring Image Competition “What Rural Means to Me.”

In recognition of the launch of RTTC - Resources, Information, Support, and Education - RISE for Rural Telementoring, we are hosting an image competition (photos, drawings, paintings, digital artwork, etc.) representing and celebrating the diversity of rural America. We would love to see your best work showing us what rural America means to you.

There is no cost to enter and you may submit up to 3 images. Submissions will be accepted until Monday, October 25th (11:59pm CST). Winner will be announced on the final day, Friday, October 29th and be receive a $150 gift card. One runner up will receive a $75 gift card. All entries are eligible to be featured on our website and other social media outlets.

Competition Rules, Terms, and Conditions

  • Image competition runs from October 5 – 25, 2021
  • Winner will be announced Friday, October 29th
  • You may submit up to 3 images as long as your content relates to the theme, “What Rural Means to Me.”
  • All entries must be original work, feature a rural theme, and include a description of the image (e.g. location of the subject)
  • Only digital photos will be accepted (.png, .jpg, .jpeg, or .gif formats) and must be at least 300 dpi resolution
  • Image creator grants unlimited, nonexclusive use license to the Rural Telementoring Training Center (RTTC) but will retain all copyright privileges for any and all submitted photographs. The RTTC reserves the right to use the photos in printed materials and by electronic means for self-promotion. As a condition of this permission, the RTTC shall properly attribute photos to their creators.
  • The RTTC is not responsible for lost, late, or misdirected entries or for miscommunications, misdirected transmissions, or other errors of any kind whether electronic or human in nature.
  • By entering this contest, participants release and hold harmless the RTTC, ReACH Center, and UT Health San Antonio as well as any employees thereof.
  • Entries will be judged by a volunteer panel or ReACH Center staff and all decisions are final.
  • Contest entrants agree to abide by the terms of these official rules and by the decisions of the judges.
  • The RTTC reserves the right to reject any entry which may be perceived as obscene, objectionable, or having content irrelevant to the theme.
