Thank you for starting your application to the STRONG STAR Training Initiative

The STRONG STAR Training Initiative conducts Learning Communities with mental health providers through competency-based training in evidence based treatments for PTSD, including Cognitive Processing Therapy and Prolonged Exposure Therapy.

Each Learning Community will consist of:

1. Pre-workshop reading and webinars

2. Two-day in-person workshop in Cognitive Processing Therapy or Prolonged Exposure Therapy

3. 6-12 months of weekly phone case consultation

4. Access to online materials including: therapy resources, therapy demonstration videos, and webinars

5. Organizational consultation

6. ProgramĀ Evaluation & Continuing Education Credits

All providers participating in the learning community will receive partial scholarships reducing the cost of the learning community to $300. All providers participating will receive continuing education credits for activities they complete.

Cancellation, Substitutions, and Refunds Policy: Registration fees, minus a $50 service charge, will be refunded to participants who send a written cancellation via email to training@strongstar.org postmarked no less than 15 days before the training. No refunds will be made thereafter. A colleague may be substituted for no extra charge if STRONG STAR Training Initiative is notified at least two business days before the training. Alternative, you may choose to reschedule to a future Learning Community with no additional cost.

The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio maintains responsibility for this program and its content.
